What have I been up to.............

I have been all wrapped up in this court case. These poor kids suffered more in 24 hours than I could ever imagine. They were kidnapped, tortured, raped, and finally murdered. The first of four animals were tried this week. It has been unreal!

I pray for the families to have healing and for the animals that did this to have a change of heart and accept God as their personal Savior. I keep calling them animals, no human being with an inkling of human in them could do something like what they did only ANIMALS act like that. WILD SAVAGE BEAST!!!

I am off to play with Cailtan, she found alien rocks last night. So we have to go check on them and clean them up.
Enjoy,

Rainbow........

reminded of God's promises! How come some of the most important things in your life are the easiest to push to the side when life gets busy? I was reminded the other evening with this beautiful rainbow of Gods promise to me. Even when I fail, He is there to pick me up and carry me.

I am so blessed and thankful! I hope each of you take a minute to reflect on your life.
Enjoy,

My NOT so little girl...........

My Cammie has grown up way to fast. Seems like yesterday she was a little tiny baby in my arms and now she is a teenager. Just seems like yesterday we were playing peek-a-boo and patty cake. Today we are now playing with make up and learning to drive. Just seems like yesterday you needed my help to do so many things and today you seldom need or want my help. Just seems like yesterday I was picking out all your clothes and now you are trying to help me pick out mine! LOL. You have turned into a wonderful and joyous teenager.
So today Cammie asked me to take some photos of her in this outfit that she put together. She has been playing with makeup this week and found a new look that she liked too. So here are just a few that we took in the backyard.
Cammie and Duckie. Duckie LOVES Cammie! Duckie can't wait for her to get up in the mornings so Cammie can love all over her. Cammie lets Duckie cuddle with her on her bed sometimes too. Duckie just loves it.
Isn't she just beautiful? Love you so much my darling daughter! You are just so grown up now, but I wouldn't trade a day of watching you grow for anything else. I am so proud of you!
Love Mom!

from the mouth of Caitlan......

Today as I sat typing on the computer Cammie came out of her room and said, "it's a long and drawn out movie". Caitlan was sitting next to me coloring. I simply asked Caitlan if she knew what Cammie was talking about. My Caitlan answered, " a movie". I then asked her if she knew what movie; her answer to me was "the long drawn out one"...... there you go. I just had to laugh! She was just as serious and calm never looked up just kept on coloring, oh my!

Caitlan is all the time coming up with little off the wall things and she truly keeps me laughing. What a girl!!! Gotta love her!

What is happening in your driveway....

This is what happens in my driveway--Rock crushing. Actually to be exact it is called "rock powder"- by Caitlan. Rock powder has become an evening ritual around the Guinn house. Caitlan gathers up her tools and off she goes. She crushes rocks into a fine powder and then puts the powder into a small little bug catcher that has a magnifying glass on the top. As you can see she has safety glasses beside her in the first picture. She truly has gathered everything she needs. Do you remember doign things like this as a child??
I do!! We use to take leaves, plants, berries and crush them and mix with water to make paint. Then we would paint our clubhouse. We always lived way out in the middle of no where. Dirt roads, cow pastures, chicken coops, lakes, and the woods was our stomping grounds. Oh the joys of summertime and childhood!

She definetly has enjoyed herself. She had Jeff out there one night sitting with her in the driveway to discuss the art of "rock powder". These are memories that I will remember forever!! So if you are ever out driving and you see a little girl sitting in the driveway it just might be Caitlan making "rock powder", just stop on in and she will be happy to discuss the art with you too!

SURFER GIRL!!

I want you to look at what my little girl did!! She is a surfer girl. She said she wanted to do this and I thought she would get up there and then back out but she didn't. She LOVED it. Caitlan held on tight and rode it like a pro. Cammie was a little mad at her sister for doing it, because she was afraid to do it. She kept asking me if I was really going to let her do it. I told her YEP and she could too.

I am telling you there was grown men that had a hard time hanging on to the board. It is a very powerful water that comes out of there. Amazing my little girl is a surfer girl and I am so proud of her!

Summer is almost gone............

I am so sorry I have not updated in forever. There is no excuse to my regular followers and I am sorry. Please accept my apology. I am a little sad that summer is almost over. I love this time of year when we can spend our days at the pool and not have any kind of schedule. Those days are almost over as I need to get back into the swing of doing school with the girls. Jeff and I decided that we needed a little get-a-way of some kind. So we decided to take the girls and go to the mountains. We chose to stay at a hotel that is fairly new and had some fun things to do; when it involves water you know we are so there. So the Wildreness Hotel/Resort area is where we went to play. They have waterparks, splashpads, and pools. It was wonderful and we all enjoyed it so much. Now you know that my girls are as different as night and day. So you can guess which one did very little--Cammie. She did the wave pool, hot tub, and pools. Caitlan on the other hand is my wild child and she wanted to do everything! Caitlan has NO fear of the water. She did every pool, slide, wave pool, and more (stay tuned another post). We all really enjoyed ourselves, we were all worn completely out!! But it did us some good to get away.

I hope your summer has been as memorable as ours.
