20 years and counting................................

** I have been trying to post pictures all week and I am having trouble. **

Have you been out of school for 5, 10, 20 years????????????????????????????
I have been out of high school 20 years this year. I just can't believe it. It makes me feel old in some ways and so young is others. I feel old because I can't believe it has been 20 years.

I was looking for old classmates online and came across my best friend from middle and high school. I decided to drop her a line and see if she remembered me and guess what, SHE DID!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is when I feel young again and all excited. We have been emailing each other and catching up. We have also called and talked with each other for HOURS, just like in high school! Even though we haven't kept in touch it is amazing how similar our lives have been, and how much we still have in common! THANK YOU SANDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sharing old pictures and stories is amazing.

EARTH DAY 2008

Today is Earth Day! Happy Earth Day to everyone.

Today we spent the day doing Earth day projects. Caitlan and I planted 6 Clematis and 36 Impatients! She was over Earth Day after all that planting. So, I pulled weeds, picked up sticks, and raked some leaves out of the backyard. And if that wasn't enough, then spreading some mulch should do it. The yard is looking so good. I have spent the last two years getting the front yard to look good and today I started on the back, it is more of a challenge because of the dogs running back there. It is a work in progress.

One Time a Year.............

Well, it was that time of year--to have the annual Garage sale. Cammie and I were told by everyone that Fridays, was the best day. So today was the day---and boy was it a day. I rose early, before the sun even came up. Cammie and I got everything out, and the day got started. The sign was up and THEY came. They came in droves! YEP, Fridays are the best day. I have never seen so many people in my life.

I have to tell you, you meet all kinds of people. Especially at a Yard Sale!! For the most part things went really well. Cammie held down the fort, by doing school with Caitlan and taking Duckie out to go potty. I did the best I could---until the mom from outer space arrived! She came with two little ones, a boy under the age of 2 and a girl about 3. Oh my! The little kids were everywhere, inside the garage, around the corner of the house, and last but not least IN,yes in my fountain!!!! He put rocks in it, threw out the pump, and was in it! Like sitting in it. Where was the mom???????????? I did not even know which person those kids belonged too. Then the little girl stands on one of the sheets I had put down with purses , stuffed animal, toys, some magazines, and etc and she PEE"S, Yep! All over everything, Where was mom?????Whose Kids where these????????????? I was about to go bonkers. I did not even notice the little girl until two nice ladies came over and told me. So I try to go and salvage what I could and the rest I had to throw away, and pick up the sheet and lay in the sun until I can get it into the house. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mom never said a word, or offered to help! I just couldn't believe it. What a day!

All in all we did have a good day ! At least we got rid of a bunch of stuff. The rest went to the thrift store and we were done. So now I am trying to recoop! I will post a picture of Cammie later. It is quite funny, Caitlan took it..... so stay tuned! Good Night!

Blooming Blooms! Can't you Smell them!

Flowers, Flowers, and more Flowers. Every color of the rainbow. These are my Iris, here are the first ones to open. Aren't they beautiful, they are almost as tall as Caitlan. I have these planted around my tree in the backyard and also in my front flower bed. They are so easy to grow and care for.

I have worked outside most of the day, doing odds and ends. I sprayed around the house for bugs. Caitlan and I planted seeds. Just enjoyed the gorgeous weather.

O Beautiful.........

Don't ask, I am not sure why this picture reminds me of this song. Eveytime I see this picture I start singing this song. This picture just looks like "amber waves of grain" to me. Does anyone else see that? Please somebody, anybody?

This picture was taken by you guessed it. Cammie. Taken at the UT gardens last fall, with her little point and shoot camera. It was just a great shot, on a great day! I had to share it. It is so peaceful.

Money, Money, Money! This is why I have none! This is my lovely daughter Cammie and she has all my money. Caitlan actually took this picture and I just had to share with everyone. Maybe Caitlan will be a photographer too!

Today is another AB day. Absolutely Beautiful. I am fixing to go and plant some seeds with Caty-girl. I hope you get a chance to get outside and enjoy the sunshine.

Jeff is off this week, so I am sure many projects will be started. I may not get to post as much as I usually do. I am hoping one day to ride up to the mountains so maybe there will be new pictures.

Introducing Princess Savannah

Here is my neice SAVANNAH. This is my baby brothers little girl. Isn't she a doll? Even though I don't get to spend as much time with her as I would like, she loves to come and play at Aunt Rae Ann's house. She always ask to come play. She loves to play dress up, tea party, and Barbie's. Savannah, Aunt Rae Ann can't wait for you to come again. I want to go play in the creek again. Maybe next time it will be warmer!

My Special Little Flower

See this flower.... She is enjoying one of the pretty days we have had recently. The past two days have been a little chilly, hopefully it will warm up tomorrow. I have all my flowers covered in the yard and it looks very lovely with sheets of all colors adorning my landscape. I am sure the neighbors are loving it.

Didn't do much today. I worked on school work and pool business. The girls cleaned their rooms.Thrilling. Aren't we just full of fun?

Cammie is counting down the days until she turns 16! Do you remember 16? Would you go back and do it all again? Yep, I would. To know then what I know now.

She is wanting to go and pick out party invitations. Do you remember your sweet 16 party? I do! We had just moved here to Knoxville, and I knew NO ONE. So mom and dad took my brothers and I to go ice skating. That was my sweet 16. This is a whole new chapter in parenting and I am not sure I am ready. How our parents made it through, not sure, but I guess I will too. My little baby girl a teenager, oh my! Some of you are there with me and others your turn is coming!

Got to get into bed!

What a handsome boy.........

Introducing my nephew BEN!!! I just had to post a picture of him. Ben is the big brother of Jordan that I posted pictures of recently. It is a little harder to get pictures of him, so I found this one and wanted to post it. Ben is five years old and all boy. Just ask his mom! Isn't he the cutest? I love to get him in the summer and take him to the pool with us. Just thought I would share a picture of him and of course Caitlan too!

****Spring has Sprung*****

Yeah, finally spring! I am so happy, I'm like a bunny hopping around the yard. I love this time of year. All the flowers are blooming, birds are chirping, and the fresh air. What a blessing.

We were out and about this weekend. Saturday was "The Dogwood's Art festival" this weekend, we enjoyed it. They had arts and crafts,live local bands, and funnel cakes.What's not to love about funnel cakes. The girls have never had a funnel cake so we had to get one for them to try. Cammie liked it, Caitlan didn't! However, I had my heart set on Cotton Candy--NONE TO BE FOUND!

Then we ventured off to the University of Tennessee Veterinarian School for open house. The vet school had animals of every kind. They had all kinds of hands on learning activities for the kids and adults. The forensic lab was open and Jeff enjoyed it, the girls thought it was gross! So we had a big day. After a long day we decided to rent some movies and settle down. I NEVER watch movies, I usually have no time and no desire. However, something last night got into me and I sat down for a minute only to watch a WHOLE movie. It was the best movie I have seen in a LONG time. "No Reservations"--I highly recommend to all. It is a good clean movie. I really enjoyed it. I will add it to my favorite list.

Sunday was a restful day. It was cold and windy. YUCK! I did go to the pool to see what I have gotten myself into. We have a lot of clean up to do. I have some great friends that are the Vice president and her husband, they are helping and doing alot! I am so thankful for them. They are wonderful people, they have a little girl Caitlan's age. We get together almost every weekend and hang out. The girls don't think they can live without seeing each other every other day. Funny Kids!

Well I will go and post later this week! Hope everyone has a great week. I pray everyone is in good health, safe and sound traveling in your weekly endeavors, and taking time to smell the flowers!

FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am looking so forward to the weekend. I just want to sleep in and hang out. There are some events going on downtown I am hoping to get to this weekend. Hopefully will have more pictures to post. I can't figure this blog thing out, why sometimes I can post and sometimes I can't. Technology is NOT my thing! So you are stuck with my rambling words, sorry.

I called about a house today and I am hoping to go and look at it this weekend. It is in the neighborhood we live in now. The house is bigger and the lot is bigger too! So I will see.

Thank You East Tennessee!

Thank you for the gorgeous sunset. God is so good! Isn't this beautiful? The weather was perfect today, I just basked in the sun!

The girls got all their school work done early and it was very nice. Caitlan and I planted some seeds earlier in the week and she is anxiously awaiting them to sprout. I will send pictures when they do sprout. She can't wait!!! Remembering what it was like to be 6 !!!

Ducky!

Ducky--what a name. She was named that by her previous owner for being the ugly duckling of the liter. But she is beautiful to me. She is my little doggie princess, I know you all are thinking I have lost my mind. But I wanted a little dog to snuggle and dress in little shirts and be my walking partner. Bug, Go Away

Don't have much time this morning. Caitlan was up all night with a fever and her tummy hurting. I guess she has a tummy bug and she just wants it to go away! That goes for mommy too!

*********Update: Caitlan is feeling a little better today. Her fever is gone and she is up a little more. I did finally get her to eat a little chicken noodle soup and some bread. So hopefully we are on the right path to recovery. Poor little thing!

Green Eggs and Ham, Sam I am!

Good Morning. The girls and I are off to go and see -Suessical the Musical. This will be the first one Caitlan has ever been too. I am hoping she will enjoy it and not have an anxiety attack. For those of you who know her she is so easily upset by things like this. I am taking her head phones and a " lovey" with satin on it. Also, plenty of hydrocortisone cream!

Got to run and get ready! I am hoping to get some pictures of the girls downtown again.
